Everything runs here. Nothing goes anywhere.

Pocket Desk is a folder of static files. Once the page is open, every calculation happens inside your browser tab. There is no server doing work for you, no account to hold your data, and no code that talks to the network.

Data stays on your device A box labelled your device contains the Pocket Desk page and local storage. A dashed line toward a box labelled the network is crossed out and marked no requests. YOUR DEVICE Pocket Desk this open tab local storage notes, layout, inputs stays here no requests The network never contacted
The whole data path. The dashed line is crossed out because there is no code that uses it.

The promise, in two lists

What Pocket Desk never does

  • Send anything you type to a server, API or third party.
  • Look up a price. Every rate is one you typed.
  • Ask for an account, a wallet, a seed phrase or a key.
  • Set cookies, run analytics or load advertising.
  • Load fonts, scripts or images from elsewhere. The site is its own five pages, one stylesheet and one script.

What it does do

  • Keep your notes, window positions and last-typed values in your browser's local storage so the desk is as you left it.
  • Fall back to memory for the length of a tab if storage is blocked.
  • Read your system clock for the menu bar, and your motion preference to decide whether to animate.
  • Let you download a note as a text file or print it, both handled by your own browser.

Storage inspectorchecking

This table reads the same storage the tools use. Sizes are in characters. Nothing on it has been, or can be, sent anywhere.

Check it yourself

A privacy page is only a claim. These four checks turn it into something you can see for yourself, using tools already in your browser.

  1. Watch the network tab.Open your browser's developer tools, choose the Network panel and use the desk. After the page itself loads, there is nothing to list.
  2. Go offline.Turn on airplane mode or disconnect, then reload. Every tool keeps working, because nothing here needs a connection.
  3. Read the source.View the page source. It is plain HTML, one stylesheet and one script, with no minified bundles and no third-party code.
  4. Look at the storage. In the developer tools Application or Storage panel, local storage holds exactly the keys listed above and nothing else.

Honest limits

Local storage is readable by anyone who can use your browser profile, so on a shared computer treat the notes as public and erase them when you are done. Do not keep seed phrases, private keys or passwords in the Notes window, or anywhere else a web page can reach.

If you email hello@btcapps.me, the message travels through your own mail app and provider like any other email. Nothing on this site watches or stores it. Pocket Desk is independent and is not affiliated with any wallet, exchange or Bitcoin software project.
